On Sunday, September 16, "Ventspils" team played another match of the Latvian Championship. In the 21st round match, which is the last match in the third stage, the champions of Latvia played home against the club „Daugava” from Daugavpils.  The match ended with the victory of yellow-and-blue by 1:0. The author of the decisive goal was the striker Vits Rimkus, who scored a great header in the first half.   This was the 12th goal for the striker in the tournament, he is the top goal scorer in the championship.  “Ventspils” won the fifth consecutive victory in the Latvian championship.

Goal, that became the centre-piece of the match.  Gorgeous goal. Deniss Kachanov made a great pass and Vits Rimkus perfectly headed the ball into the top corner – 1:0!   Such interplay sometimes shows wonders…
