Meanwhile our club has the transfer news to share: FK "Ventspils" officially announce that 20 year old Nigerian forward Adeleke Akinyemi leaves FK "Ventspils" and moves to the top division club of Norway IK "Start". FK "Ventspils" wishes Adeleke good luck in the new club and in his further career.

22nd season of FK Ventspils - the new crucial phase!

FK "Ventspils", six times Champion of Latvia, in 2018 has entered into the new crucial phase in its history. The 22nd season in the top division of Latvian championship has started with the new slogan: "Important changes aimed at new big victories, successful performance in all tournaments and the rebirth of the real power of the yellow-and-blue!" These changes became possible due to the new president of the club, the businessman Mr. Adlan Shishkhanov, who expresses serious ambitions and is interested in achieving only the first place in all domestic tournaments as well as showing the most successful performance in UEFA Europa League and Champions League. We have started the new way, let it be successful! Go, go "Ventspils"!

FK Ventspils won their 7th Latvian Cup!

FK "Ventspils" team won the Latvian Cup! It was the 9th cup final in "Ventspils" history and this was a very dramatic one. But the most important is that it was successful! Paul Ashworth team got the trophy by winning the series of penalty kicks where the goalkeeper Andrey Pavlov was a true hero. FK "Ventspils" won their 7th Latvian Cup in the year of their 20th anniversary. FK "Ventspils" proved again that they aspire only for the highest goals. Go, go "Ventspils"!

FK Ventspils: 19 seasons with medals!

FK "Ventspils" finished Latvian championship season 2016 and earned bronze medals. In 28 matches Paul Ashworths team got 15 victories, 6 ties and 7 loses. FK "Ventspils" became the top scoring team in the league with 47 scored goals. FK "Ventspils" forward Girts Karlsons became the top scorer of the tournament scoring 17 goals. During the season of 2016 FK "Ventspils" home matches were attended by more that 10 000 spectators - which is a very good indicator for Latvian football. In the upcoming season of 2017 FK "Ventspils" shall again participate in UEFA Europa league. The third place let the club to extend its record: the yellow-blue finish the championship with medals for 19 seasons in a row. This is a unique achievement in Latvian football. Skonto-Ventspils-2:4! Ventspils victory seals title!

FK "Ventspils" are Latvian champions for the the third time in four years after winning their title decider 4:2 at "Skonto". FK "Ventspils" coach Jur?is Pu?inskas said: "The team did what we had to do," after sealing a third Latvian title in four seasons with a 4:2 win at nearest challengers "Skonto".

Malmö and Ventspils play out goalless draw

"Malmö" FF played out a goalless draw with FK "Ventspils" in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second round qualifier. Ahmed Abdultaofik hit the post for the Latvian champions but ultimately neither side could find a breakthrough.

Ventspils still supreme despite rare loss

Something odd happened on Tuesday – FK Ventspils lost a Latvian league game. FK Ventspils 34-game undefeated league run may have ended but coach Jurgis Pu?inskas told UEFA.com: "It s not records I care about but the quality of our football."
